As the Operations Manager / Executive Assistant, Stephanie oversees administrative and operational functions at MJV while providing high-level support to the leadership team and ensuring efficiency, productivity, and smooth communication within the organization. The daughter of a horticulturist, Stephanie spent her Iowa and then Minnesota childhood in the gardens around her home, planting flowers and vegetables and being fascinated by visits from monarch butterflies, pollinators, and birds. As the oldest of seven children to two very musical parents, she developed a love for teaching, went on to study education, earned a B.S. in K-12 Music Education from St. Cloud State University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota, and researched for and published an original study on children and learning. Previous to MJV, Stephanie worked in nonprofit operations for child advocacy, and prior to that, she was a K-12 public school orchestra and band teacher who taught elementary, middle, and high school students in Wisconsin, Georgia, and Minnesota. She loves being a mom, being outside, playing musical instruments, singing, songwriting, camping, fishing, hiking, and gardening for wildlife.
