Lillie Smith
Habitat Restoration Specialist (she/her)
Lillie grew up in South Central Iowa on a dairy goat farm where sustainability has always been a focus. She now resides in West Central Minnesota. Lillie received her Bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in Wildlife Animal Ecology. Her career started by working out of an NRCS office, focusing on water quality and habitat development through cover crops, easement outreach, and CRP practices. The work she did through NRCS led her to love developing habitat on private lands; land otherwise unreachable to conservation and restoration. This path paved the way to working with the Fish and Wildlife Easement program where she continues her work in private lands conservation. In her free time, Lillie loves kayaking and spending time outside whenever possible with her dog, Darci, and her partner, Nic, but will also never turn down a cozy rainy day with a book and some video games.
