Climate Resilience Through Habitat Restoration on California Lands

MJV is part of a statewide block grant provided by the Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) and California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD). Primary project components include monitoring, education, and consultation:

MJV will monitor RCD’s implemented habitats using the IMMP and provide training for RCD staff and other volunteers. This data will be used to quantify conservation efforts and inform land management decisions. We work closely with other monitoring partners, including Point Blue Conservation Science and the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, to provide well-rounded monitoring support for RCD staff.

MJV also provides additional educational opportunities for RCDs through our online learning system, NECTAR Hub, as well as consultation for land stewards, providing expertise & technical assistance for pollinator plantings, advising research design & monitoring efforts, etc.
