The MJV is excited to announce that Queen City Pollinator Project (QCPP) has joined the partner network!

Founded in 2019 by Carrie Driehaus and Jenny O’Donnell, QCPP emerged from their shared passion for beekeeping and conservation, quickly evolving into a 501(c)(3) dedicated to protecting pollinators. Now in its fifth growing season, QCPP continues to mentor young entomologists, beekeepers, and gardeners, collaborating with numerous local organizations to create pollinator-friendly spaces and educate the community through engaging, science-based programs.

Supporting pollinators and monarch butterflies is at the core of Queen City Pollinator Project's mission. They have planted hundreds of milkweed plants and dispersed seed packets through extensive community outreach efforts. They maintain nine large pollinator garden planters in a local park to educate the community on creating monarch-friendly spaces, reaching a diverse audience and using innovative tools like QR codes to drive engagement with their educational resources. QCPP provides a science-based curriculum for children in after-school and in-class programs and for adults through programs to garden clubs, social clubs, and beekeeping groups built with their expertise, captivating photos, fun activities, and practical advice for creating pollinator-friendly spaces large and small. They are the workforce behind Cincinnati’s Major’s Monarch Coalition, mentor the University of Cincinnati Beekeeping Club, and have built numerous partnerships with local organizations to support their efforts.

By joining the MJV partner network, Queen City Pollinator Project hopes to access valuable training programs for educators to bolster their established curriculum and continue to widen their network of partners to share resources, tips and tricks. In turn, QCPP brings immense enthusiasm and energy, a strong social media presence, and a collaborative spirit that will contribute to the network’s collective efforts in monarch conservation.
