We are thrilled to welcome the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (PA DCNR) to the MJV partnership! The mission of the PA DCNR is to conserve and sustain Pennsylvania’s natural resources for present and future generations’ use and enjoyment.

The PA DCNR actively promotes pollinator health through habitat creation and education and is in the process of expanding their programs to more directly support the monarch butterfly. Some of their projects include pollinator gardens at Park Offices and Forest Resource Management Centers, as well as the implementation of pollinator habitat along ROW corridors, roadsides and herbaceous openings. The PA DCNR is also using native plants and pollinator habitat to help restore the land around abandoned mines.

The PA DCNR sees monarchs and pollinators as critical to ecosystem health and human wellbeing. The PA DCNR hopes to highlight the importance of pollinators in their habitat and education projects. The MJV is delighted to be partnering with them in this work!
