The MJV is thrilled to welcome Cultiv8Community to the partner network! The mission of Cultiv8Community is to connect neighbors to neighbors, engage people with nature, and restore life-giving habitats. Their core programs support families in poverty by providing homeownership opportunities, joyful experiences in nature for children, community restoration, and environmental healing.
Cultiv8Community has numerous impactful programs with two that directly relate to monarch and pollinator work: Cultiv8Camp and Cultiv8Habitat. Cultiv8Camp, which began as field trips to the Graves Farm Monarch Waystation in 2018, officially launched in 2023 and has since served over 2,000 students across north and northeast Texas. This program focuses on connecting under-served children to nature, combating nature deficits, and offering free outdoor education and life experiences. Cultiv8Habitat works to reclaim land to its native habitat, reestablish native grasslands, assist landowners in transitioning to native habitats, and install pollinator gardens while reducing pesticide use.
Cultiv8Community uniquely leverages monarch and pollinator initiatives to achieve the deeper goal of uplifting communities, and we are excited to have them share this work with the network.
They already collaborate with many local organizations and landowners and, in joining the network, are excited to connect more broadly to share and expand their partnerships in Texas and beyond.
