Lucy Gworek

Field Technician, Monarch Butterfly Habitat Monitoring

Lucy is one of the current field technicians on the monarch habitat monitoring project. Lucy and her partner Monica are traveling across California looking for monarchs and milkweed. Lucy graduated from SFSU with a B.S. in Ecology. At SFSU, Lucy began to learn about plant and pollinator interactions while working in Dr. Gretchen LeBuhn’s plant physiology lab. Prior to Lucy’s current position, she worked as a technician on a plant-pollinator study that will inform urban landscaping in the San Francisco area. When not in the field, Lucy enjoys reading, roller skating, camping, and spending time with friends and family.
