Moth Ball at Prairie Oaks
Explore the night flying relatives of monarchs and other butterflies during an evening of mothing with MJV at our Prairie Oaks campus! We’ll explore the difference between moths and butterflies, use different ways to attract and collect moths, learn how to ID different groups of moths, and learn the important roles moths play in our ecosystem. We’ll also collect data through iNaturalist to help us understand more about the wildlife we share Prairie Oaks with!
This program is family friendly, though please note that it does take place after dark.
