Monarchs and Milkweed Exhibit: opening day celebration
Join the Bell Museum and MJV on the opening day of the traveling exhibit Monarchs and Milkweed: a Story of Survival.
Saturday, January 25th, 10am-2pm.
Our guests Metro Blooms, Urban Roots, UMN Bee Lab, and COPAL (Comunidades Organizando el Poder y la Acción Latina) will join us to celebrate all things monarchs and conservation. Visit their tables to learn about these unique organizations, how to get involved, and to try out a new activity at each table.
MJV will be providing a variety of activities: test your monarch knowledge with our trivia wheel and matching activities, craft a monarch lifecycle bracelet, and explore monarch and insect specimens under the scope.
There will be a bilingual story-time at 10:30 am--come listen to us read Senorita Mariposa in English and Spanish!
MJV will be running a pop-up shop featuring monarch-themed items.
Expect this celebration to be full of monarch-themed learning and fun!
