Monarch Butterfly Tagging at Tri-County FWA

Want to contribute to monarch conservation in Indiana? Join the IN DNR - Division of Fish & Wildlife staff and the Monarch Joint Venture Sat. Sept. 14 from 11-2 p.m. ET at Tri-County Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA). Volunteers will assist staff with collecting, tagging, and recording data on monarch butterflies to help better understand fall migration patterns.

 

All ages are welcome, and all minors are to be accompanied by an adult. All training and materials will be provided by staff. No prior experience is necessary. Please bring a water bottle, insect repellent, and wear weather appropriate clothing including sturdy shoes. Snacks will be available as well as a porta potties on-site.

 

Meet staff for sign in and orientation at Pisgah Marsh Unit 2 parking area located east of CR 925 E on CR 350, N. Pierceton, IN 46526 at 11 a.m. ET. If utilizing a navigation app, search for Pisgah Marsh Nongame Area. Google Maps
