Education and Outreach Intern
Hi, I'm Tatum. I am the environmental outreach and education intern with MJV for the summer of 2025. I am currently a senior studying for my B.S. in Environmental science with a focus on conservation resource management and a minor in sustainability at the University Of Minnesota. I grew up in south Minneapolis, loving visiting the lakes and trails and going up north to backpack and go to the boundary waters with my family in the summers. On one trip to the boundary waters, our campsite had a ton of butterflies. I stood slowly by them flying around me, and at that moment, two butterflies landed on my fingers. That special moment sparked in me a passion for butterflies and conservation. In this internship, I hope to gain more knowledge on monarchs, meet others interested in conservation, and improve my outreach and education skills. Other than trying to be outside any chance I can get, I love traveling and last may I got to visit Ireland! In my own time, I like to garden, cook, sing and dance in my living room, walk my small dogs, Rex and Nova, and crochet.
