MJV Welcomes Virginia Tech Conservation Management Institute to the Network
The Virginia Tech Conservation Management Institute (CMI) is a research and engagement center within the Department of Fish and Wildlife Conservation, College of Natural Resources and Environment at Virginia Tech. Like MJV, CMI is a collaborative organization that works with both internal and external partners in its conservation efforts, working with state fish and wildlife agencies, federal lands, private conservation areas, and military installations to understand their needs and objectives and produce quality conservation solutions. Latino Center of the Midlands Joins the MJV Partner Network
The Latino Center of the Midlands (LCM) is a community-based nonprofit located in South Omaha, Nebraska, dedicated to empowering and uplifting the greater Omaha community through education, workforce development, and health and wellness initiatives. One of the ways that LCM does this is through its Cultiva Bienestar program. “Cultiva Bienestar” translates to “cultivate well-being.” This at-home and community gardening initiative empowers community members to grow healthy, fresh, organic food while emphasizing pollinator-friendly practices and fostering biodiversity in densely populated neighborhoods.
