Should I bring in the monarch caterpillars I find to protect and raise them?

It is great that you are observing monarch caterpillars! While raising a few for enjoyment and to report them to community science programs is a great activity, the best way to protect monarchs is to support the creation or improvement of habitat to support a self-sustaining wild population.
